Por una serie de circunstancias termina viviendo con su hermano Jeff, que es cineasta o al menos lo intenta. Jeff no vive solo, ya que está casado con Kelly y tiene un niño de dos años de edad, por lo que la llegada de Jenny a casa es complicada, pues todos se tienen que adaptar a una persona nueva, que además no pone mucho de su parte. Jenny pronto hace algunas amigas, e intentan que su cuñada tenga trabajo en el mundo del cine, algo que es complicado cuando se tiene un niño de dos años, aunque ellas no cejan en su empeño. Jenny se va adaptando así a su nueva familia, pero va a tener problemas con la niñera, con la que choca debido a que la edad de ambas es similar.
